Impresa Ambiente Award: Special Mention for VITANOVA

Posted by Transizione Energetica News on March 15th, 2022

The Impresa Ambiente Award is Italy’s highest award for companies that contribute to environmental sustainability and implement social responsibility during their production activities.

The Jury deemed worthy of special mention Conceria Pasubio, the leading leather processing company on a global scale. The special mention arrived thanks to the product Pasubio is developing, VITANOVA, a name that represents the idea of giving new life to shavings and trimmings generated in production, where 100% of waste is upcycled to achieve the “Zero Waste” goal.

The VITANOVA Product fully represents the application of the principle of circular economy, which can well be translated into the slogan “Less waste, more value.” This innovative product comes from the transformation of waste consisting of shavings and trimmings generated by leather processing plants into new leather, destined for the automotive industry, thus giving the “waste” dignity as a resource that is regenerated and re-enters a production cycle.
