Pasubio expands luxury platform UNICA with the acquisition of Luilor SpA

Pasubio S.p.A., a leading specialised provider of premium leather for the automotive and luxury sectors, is pleased to announce a further strategic step in the development of UNICA, its platform serving the luxury industry, with the acquisition of 100% of Luilor S.p.A., a leading Italian manufacturer of high-end textiles for luxury furniture brands and fashion houses.

As part of the transaction, the Biagioni family – founders of Luilor – will become shareholders in the group’s holding company alongside PAI Partners, the Pretto family and the founders of Antiba and SKIN (Paolo Balducci, Daniele Salassa and Arrigo Calorini), further reinforcing the entrepreneurial and industrial DNA of the platform and aligning all stakeholders around a shared long-term vision.

With this transaction, Pasubio further broadens its capabilities and strengthens its positioning as a diversified partner to global luxury brands across multiple end-markets, including automotive, fashion and interior design.

Luilor adds complementary and distinctive expertise in premium textiles to the Group – particularly in jacquard and high-value creative and technical fabrics, developed over time by the Biagioni family – enhancing Pasubio’s ability to offer a more comprehensive range of materials to its clients.

This reinforces UNICA as a unique industrial platform, designed to offer the luxury sector an integrated system of high-end materials and solutions, leveraging Italian manufacturing excellence and know-how.

The Biagioni family, together with Luilor’s management team, will continue to lead the company and will join the management committee of UNICA, contributing to the development of the platform’s industrial strategy, with a particular focus on innovation, sustainability, material traceability and time-to-market.

Luca Pretto, CEO of Pasubio, said: “We are delighted to welcome Luilor and the Biagioni family to Pasubio. This transaction marks an important milestone in our ambition to build a global platform of excellence in high-end materials for the luxury sector. By combining Pasubio’s longstanding expertise in leather with Luilor’s distinctive capabilities in textiles, we further strengthen our ability to support our clients across a wider range of applications and end markets, while helping to shape the industry’s evolution and set new standards in quality, innovation and service. A heartfelt thanks to the Pasubio team for their commitment and dedication in managing and executing this transaction.”
